Unlocking the potential of your assets begins with better surface and subsurface understanding. We have experts who know how to integrate and evaluate both your subsurface and surface assets and define multiple field development concepts. The result is the selection of an optimal field development concept that delivers maximum value.
Using internationally experienced petroleum and facilities engineers, we provide FDP's, which customarily cover the number and sequencing of wells to be drilled to produce the predicted amount of hydrocarbons, specific recovery techniques, type and costs of necessary installations and facilities (onshore and offshore), separation systems for gas and fluids, installations meeting environmental requirements, as well as other requirements specified by our clients.
We create outline options of possible architectures and development strategies. Screening against mutually agreed decision criteria including cost estimate and project economics provides a quantitative decision basis for selection of the preferred development plan.
We recognize development risk and uncertainty (for example reservoir properties and volumetrics) while at the same time seeking opportunities to improve project value (for example through integrated approach to development planning, deployment of new technology etc.).
Our broad range of technical expertise, combined with our practical design and operating experience across the project life-cycle, means that we are able to produce robust high quality deliverables in short timescales where data may be limited.
Field development planning and cost estimation:
- Prospect evaluation, initial cost estimates, minimum economic recoveries and assessment of tie-ins
- Concept selection and evaluation including, production, facility, pipeline and export route optimization
- Calculation of project escalation and rebasing of existing estimates
- Assessment of project cost, schedule and performance risks
- Cost reduction initiatives to optimize development plans, increase standardization, incorporate new technologies and take advantage of market conditions
- Detailed operations cost modelling for operations readiness and budget planning
Advisory Services
We analyze historical demand/supply patterns in regional gas markets, and make gas supply projections utilizing gasfield production forecasts. These forecasts are then compared with various authoritative demand projections from various energy agencies and may be utilized by our clients to estimate gas price developments in the regional gas markets.
We provide gas monetisation strategies identifying the best way to bring gas reserves to market and hence achieve revenue.
Project Delivery Support
Oil and Gas operators constantly face an imbalance regarding the size, complexity and deliverables of projects and the availability of resources to effectively and efficiently develop, plan and execute these projects. Our Project Management experts have extensive experience in operations, well engineering, field development, project interface and project management activities and collaborate with stakeholders to engineer customized solutions
Our team executes well projects by using defined processes and technology to help our customers achieve their asset management goals. We improve your performance and reduce costs by increasing efficiency and safety.
We can help you streamline your projects by providing an Integrated Services coordinator or Project Manager to manage a range of services that includes offering a single point of contact for managing logistics, HSE, and operations. In addition our team of experts deliver Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Planning, Technology selection and application, Decision Support Package (DSP) development and Performance management / improvement initiatives.
From insight to execution, we collaborate with you to ensure that your project results exceed your expectations.
Our reviews balance the techno-commercial requirements to ensure fit for purpose solutions.
Our experience and multi-facted expertise allow us to identify value opportunities early on as part of an emphasis on Front End Engineering Design (FEED). Our extensive industry experience means that we are able to critically assess technical and commercial aspects of a development rapidly, bringing insights based on diverse perspectives.
Our Due Diligence approach captures the full range of potential project risk and uncertainty - including geological and reservoir risk, development risk, commercial risk, engineering, procurement, contracting and project management risk and operational risk.
Typical reviews include:
- Assessment of the merits and value of a project
- Development of strategic risk and value management plans for each project stage
- “Readiness to progress” stage-gate audits
- Asset integrity review
- Operating efficiency review
- Troubleshooting review to address a specific technical or commercial issue
- Benchmarking review
